Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Depending on the setup you want to achieve, I'd start by removing a number of the 8 million spacers that comes on that frame buildup. That is if you bought a stock model.

I'm madly in love with that frame (the black/silver steel frame). I was brought into cycling by a "steel is real" mafia, and, yes, I drank the Kool-Aid. I'm looking at buying the frame and going mid-level Campy group. Haven't decided much past that point.

What style of riding will you be doing (commute? short rides? long rides? racing?). What goals would you like to achieve while owning the bike?
