Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

IMHO, skip Xenon and Mirage. Start looking at Veloce equipped bikes.

The problem is that Campagnolo doesn't get a lot of OE spec. What they do get is most often a Record (now Super Record) spec that is produced in limited quantities.

You're more likely to find what you are looking for buy checking out European brands than you are looking at brands based in NA.

Tough to find lower end Campy bikes in the US.
Almost have to start at Centaur equipped bikes, and they're not easy to find or inexpensive.

Back in 2000 I bought the 2001 model Univega Modo Volare with 10-speed Daytona for $1100. I was going to keep it as a rain bike after I finish my BMC Road Racer Chorus build, but I might be persuaded otherwise.

Check Granfondo Cycles of Nashville https://www.granfondocycles.com for an example . They list an Orbea Aqua at $1249.00, Mirage gruppo. Your Orbea dealer may vary.

I bought my Fuji Bourdeaux with Veloce for $995 a little over 3 years ago. Killer deal, not sure if Fuji does bikes like that anymore but needless the say the groupset has lived long enough to be transferred to my Bianchi
