Mongoose Bosberg riders
Well, after scouring the forums and internet, there are PLENTY of positive reviews of this bike out of Performance stores. Problem is, 99% of the reviews are from Lazyrider, planted everywhere. I know you love it buddy, I was just trying to see if there were any others who test rode or own.
Local store has a M in stock for the girlfriend, and Im trying to convince her to pull the trigger. She couldnt find anything as comfortable as a Trek Madone till she got on this, and its going to cost <$1500 after incentives/coupons. She is asking me how much it would cost to repaint it, as she is more of a Mtn biker and doesnt want to be seen on anything with Mongoose on it.

OK, genius I guess you didn't look hard enough. Plus you can research the Kinesis KR-810 which is same EXACT frame. As far as the decals, you CANNOT take them off as the finish is so nice that the lettering is under the clearcoat. So if you girl cannot look past the name because she is that shallow even though she loves the ride, she is as big of an idiot as you are. I am just kidding btw.

I already knew is was a kinesis model frame from the previous lazyrider posts. I should have looked more extensively frame reviews on that one.
As for the repainting/decals, that was humor on my part, seriousness on hers.
On a side note, I think "goose" would be a cooler decal.

I actually like the reaction my bike gets at the LBS where there are Pinarallos, Orbeas, Cervelos etc. and the guys look at the Mongoose with a strange look. Then they look closer and are totally surprised by how it is made and the shaped tubes etc.
I guess I can understand your girlfriend's perspective if she is a name brand kinda girl. I think it is ridiculous, but to each her own. I gave you enough links above to make an informed decision. I can easily say that the Bosberg matches or exceed any of my other bikes that I have owned and that includes Trek 5500, LS Vortex, LS Classic, Scapin, Fondriest so on. Aside from the name on it, the paint scheme and finish on the bike is awesome. Better than my Trek and the Cervelos I see. Not imprefections or bubbles, just perfect.
