Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: Calfee Tetra Pro

Complete bikes with Campagnolo

I am researching a new bike. This will be a second bike I keep in addition to my Calfee Tetra Pro. My Calfee is equipped with Campy and I want to stay with a Campagnolo groupset.

There are better deals on bikes when they come as a complete package. Do you know of many manufacturers that build with Campy? Oh, one more thing. This isn't a deal killer but I am not a fan of integrated headsets.

Cannondale does...but it isn't cheap and it has an integrated headset.

Bikesdirect.com does but I have a feeling you might be loking for something a bit different.

Bianchi and Torelli are probably your best bets.

The Cannondale only has Campy on the Super Six and the BD Campy bike is sold out.

Several brands have Record available on top offerings but there aren't that many that have it on the mid-lower levels. It seems to me that Bianchi and Colnago are the only ones that have it throughout that I see...

Bikes: Yeah, I got a few.

Bianchi, Pinarello, Colnago, Specialized in Europe, Cervelo, Ridley...

Lots do.

It's something else, however, to find a shop that stocks them. I expect it's even harder in the US.

Honestly I think only think of a single bike at any LBS in my town (4 of them) that has Campy on it. And that is a Serotta the shop built up from frame with 2005 Centaur components they took off a Six13 frame before selling just the frame (had the Cannondale in the shop for 3 years). None of them stocks anything Campagnolo...everything has to be ordered...and they wonder way I mail order everything?

Um duh...if you don't stock it and I am going to have to wait for it anyway why not pay less for it.
