Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Finally got that engine upgrade

All this talk about it's the engine, not the bike, I decided to do something about it and finally got a better engine for my TCR. My stronger teammate was in a massive crash two weekends ago that dented the top tube and cracked the headtube of his Allez, so I let him borrow my older bike. On our "worlds" ride on Sunday, I got to watch him attacking and covering breaks that I would not have been able to do. After the main part of the ride we peeled off and I chased him around the foothills. As for my other bike, I'm working on that engine too.

Now that the bike knows what a real engine can do, it's not going to want you riding him anymore. Best just sell it.

Yeah, and my bike is really going to hate me when I put my engine back in with a power meter to show it how weak I really am...

I showed my old bike that my engine isn't so bad after all and now it's jealous of my new bike, and it wants me back.
