Oh god, you hate these... But I need help!
I know these types of posts don't typically do well, but I am facing the thirteenth hardest decision I have evr had to make. After selling the motorbike, the wife agreed to let me get some new wheels. I have ridden all of them and, to be honest, I must not have a real refind riding pallet, cause the all feel pretty much the same, and fit good. What is the best deal, what would you get and why?
1-2007 Bianchi Via Nirone (Ultegra) Free Ultegra pedals and two celest cages ($1349)
2-2007 Bianchi Via Nirone (105) $30 off pedals ($1099)
3-2008 Cannondale CAAD 9 6 ($1049)
4-2008 Specialized Allez Elite ($1129)
I am driving myself nuts, please help.

I would usually go Bianchi in this case, and I'm not going to change it.
Via Nirone with 105, then get yourself some other stuff like shoes, pedals and shorts.

Hmmm, thanks for your thoughts. No one seems to think one is a good option, but when you figure that the Ultegra pedals cost $150 at this shop, I would, in effect, be paying $100 to upgrade a Via Nirone from 105 to Ultegra if I went from option two to option one. Doesn't that sound like a bargin?

If you really want those Ultegra pedals then yeah, it would be worth it, but then if you ask me I can live with my $50 egg beaters. And I can clip in without worrying which way the pedal is facing!

It's a deal if you want to spend that much and you want Ultegra pedals, otherwise the 105 option is fine.
fwiw I wouldn't pay $150 for Ultegra pedals, you can get Look Keo for less.

Ultegra pedals are about $80 at PBK. I think if you want and can afford the Ultegra then go for it, otherwise either 2 or 3 will make you happy.

1 or 2, both good deals. If you take the discounted prices of the Ultegra padels and bottle cage in option 1, say it's worth $100, and with the $30 pedal discount for option 2, the real difference in price for the two options is about $180, which accounts for the price difference between 105 and Ultegra components. Would you pay $180 for Ultegra over 105? I think most of people on BF will. For my money, I would go for 1 purely from economic standpoint.

I own a Bianchi Via Nirone 105. Don't get one with a triple. And for 850. . Looking back now, I think I would've liked the caad9 a lot more because a stiff frame feels much better to me. That said, you would pay for comfort. I'm off to do 260km+ right now.

BIANCHI.... is Europe's Schwinn.
go with the CAAD. excellent, excellent bullet proof frame. it will do more than you can ask of it.
also- three of the people i ride with have had warranty issues with Bianchi. everything from multiple cracks to flaking paint.

Also, be sure to budget for a new saddle, the ponza is like riding on a BRICK.

I like Bianchi's especially in Celeste so option #2 sounds good but I really like the Cannonballs so I'd go CAAD 9 if I were spending my money.
However, you're spending your money so go with whichever one sings you the prettiest song when you ride it. I don't think anyone will say that there's a bad choice on your list.
