Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Forte stuff

Any generalizations on the quality of Forte stuff, the pro carbon seat post to be specific, it just seems too inexpensive, or are people just snobs?

My friend has a forte bike with full ultegra, he likes it a lot. It only cost him about a grand or so.

My other bike mechanic friend says that it's really good for what you pay.

I was wondering because I was looking at Forte ergo pro bars that weigh 245 g and cost (right now on sale) 29.99 they seemed a bit noodly at Performance, as I was trying to bend them, I wish I had some other bars to twist and compare. 29.99 seems like a hell of a price for 245g bars.

I have a set of Ergo Pro bars and my commuter and Deda 215 bars on my road bike. They compare favorably. They do _seem_ stiffer than the 215s but it could be a psyche out since I know the Forte's are 245gr and the Deda is 215gr.
