Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm open to accepting donations

The frameset, bars, stem, and post are from the original build. They had been sitting in a box for 17 years. Last week I found a ridiculous deal on a 7900 groupset, and I threw it together for a friend to ride while he's in town on a 3 month business trip.

Sadly, it's a little too small for me.

Go easy on him. You don't want to get an infraction over this(but give him enough rope to hang himself).

Thanks for the heads up.

It’s getting a little unruly in here guys, let’s keep it about bikes, not personal attacks.

Also, if you’re sensitive about your bike this is not the thread for you.

Finally, what happens in here stays in here, no dragging feuds or baggage from here to other threads or forums ... that’s harassment.

OMG that is SO hot!
I don't think I've ever lusted after a bike this way, it's unnatural!

Funny thing, I don't disagree with the nit-picking others have done, and I take exception to the group, but the rest, the whole thing is so alluring, I can forgive a LOT.

At first I thought you had two same bikes with different color and I was like

But then when I realized they were the same I was like

Even without the color bike is hot, but the paintwork is so stunning I would love to see a video of it showing both sides.

Thanks! I nerded out on the Ritchey components... wheels, saddle, seatpost, stem and bars are all Ritchey. First time on a Ritchey saddle and it's quite comfortable for being so light.

I like the Athena components better, but $300 for very lightly used DA was too cheap to pass up.

I love this color scheme. Do you have a pic from the top? Is it blended? A sharp line between colors?

I want to see pictures that show the transition from blue to red and vice versa.

I'll take a photo of it later this week. Right now I'm loaning her to a friend(possibly selling it to him).

This one has been in storage since 2000ish, and she'll go right back into the time capsule if he doesn't fall in love with her.

updates

New wheels,bars/stem and a couple minor things. Also tweaked the position and cut the steerer/seatpost.
