Thanks! I nerded out on the Ritchey components... wheels, saddle, seatpost, stem and bars are all Ritchey. First time on a Ritchey saddle and it's quite comfortable for being so light.

I like the Athena components better, but $300 for very lightly used DA was too cheap to pass up.

I love this color scheme. Do you have a pic from the top? Is it blended? A sharp line between colors?

Maybe we need a "Show us your Ritchey road bike" thread.

I want to see pictures that show the transition from blue to red and vice versa.

I'll take a photo of it later this week. Right now I'm loaning her to a friend(possibly selling it to him).

This one has been in storage since 2000ish, and she'll go right back into the time capsule if he doesn't fall in love with her.

updates

New wheels,bars/stem and a couple minor things. Also tweaked the position and cut the steerer/seatpost.

I want to like it but the mishmash of parts, ergo bars and bad tape job, and the periscope just don't do it for me

Some valid points. The tape didn't work out with the ergo and aero top shapes. I'll give it another go however I like the bars. I'm not going to cut the rest of the steerer, it was twice as high but I want to leave some room for adjustment. Definitely a mishmash, just picked up the wheels at a swap meet. I wanted something with an alloy track. They're pretty sweet though, reasonably light and dt Swiss hubs.

Front skewer is on backwards

or is the whole wheel on backwards? :foo: :D

Edit: nevermind, I just read the lettering on the hub. It's the skewer, not the wheel.

Huh?

Is it really one bike or two exactly the same except for color?

I like this bike, love the new Shimano crank arms but it needs some deeper CF wheels. The picture is not doing the bike any favors.

It's a two-tone paint job.

I like the bike but that pushes it past hot to incredible, thanks.

That's what I thought. Clever girl.

I read the thought that it needs deeper wheels, however those are nice rims, and I approve. Great looking bike!

garciawork 10-26-17 07:28 AM

Not a fan of the bars, but everything else is so top notch it still easily gets a hot from me! I'll echo what has been said, we need a shot showing the two colors at the same time!
