You don't play fair man:eek:

Cleave:

Almost did not include it due to the uncut steering tube. I gave you the benefit of the doubt thinking you likely took the shot after assembly, but it has been cut since then.:p

DrPete:

"I" personally don't like Cannondale bikes. That is simply based on aesthetics and not quality or function. Despite that, I do find this bike hot.:thumb:

Hi dgasmd,

You shouldn't have given me the benefit of the doubt. I've had the steerer tube that way for over a year. :o However, I have a "good" reason. I am STILL futzing with my position on the bike. I am real close to pulling the trigger on getting a Retül fitting on that bike and my R3.

That's crazy HOT!!

Yeah the color scheme works really well, even though I'd never even consider mixing up red and green and white!

Nothing better IMO... perfect power and modulation with 7900's power curve. Polarizing looks, but simply the bomb. One of the best features is swapping pads out. The clever design lets them pop out by hand... so switching between my other wheelsets is a snap. SwissStop Green for Ceramic, Yellow for Carbon.

I was fearing the new team kit, and the Pave's were on for Battenkill... but I'm liking them for rough crit courses. These tires normally are on my open pro ceramics, and I run OC Exo-CX-320s on my DV46C and SDV66C hoops. All Wheelsets built with DT240s.

The best feature on this frame is the 1.5" lower headset race... combined with the 4-Axis 44 box section creates a super stiff interface. The bike is also a standard BB30, however I am running a BSA adaptor for my 7800 SRM.

Coming off an Addict from 08 season, and Paris from 07 (pic below), and this bike blows them both out of the water in terms of stability and overall comfort.

Wow Rich W, all of your bikes are fabulous.
I'm wondering, if you could only have one, which one would you keep?

My Colavita Team Bike.... no question. no comparison. The Paris was a disaster... that bike did nothing for me.

55/Rad 05-05-09 01:03 PM

And now for something completely different...

This bike is more impressive in person than in this photo - seriously.

Crash716 05-05-09 01:40 PM

wow...that just happened.

not fair.

55/Rad wins the thread. Anything finely crafted out of wood is hot in my book.

My fiancee and I test rode a Calfee Bamboo Tandem, and the ride was niiiiice. Stiffer than our older steel frame, but much nicer ride. Then we test road a carbon tandem and it was almost as comfy as the bamboo, but crazy stiff.

Anyone with a hot Felt Bicycle? :(

It's called a Renovo. I saw one last year on Cycle Oregon and spent an hour with the guy who had just ridden 450 miles in a week on it. It was the most stunning bike I had ever seen.

People who ride them swear by them. Someday, I would like one myself. The photo is from their website.

Unfortunately they don't appear to make that frame anymore, the R2, which is a shame since I think it's their best looking frame. Part of the lack of appeal to me for their R4 is probably the computer mock-up, so I'd have to see one for real. I'll definitely have to check them out next time I'm in Portland ...
