never heard of planet x, but that bike is pretty sexy! I think some more "classic" looking wheels would make it just about perfect for me (not a big fan of the deep dish carb wheels, though I know they are awesome for riding/race/etc, I'm just speaking personal aesthetics)!

I think my next bike will have to be blue.... blue or black (or both).

I think the compact frame geometry might exaggerate that a bit. Plus it fits me nicely and am still in my teens (just) so still nice and supple. Give me a few years and I may change my mind on the drop :lol:

Love the honest opinion. I must admit I got lazy with the camera. I had two flashes and an umbrella, but batteries were low so I simply took a "snap" shot...

Photography and bicycles are to hobbies that merge nicely. After the bike is complete, I'll have some fun with my camera.

Bought the Ksyrium SL's for $400....Wanted something light and durable....

Considered Campy, but I built this bike myself. (complete newb)...The used 7800 pieces cost me around $700.

Seven Ti= $1000
Mavic=$400
Dura Ace 7800=$700
Saddle/Seat post/Stem/Handlebar $450 all added by a pro during a very long fitting...In other words, those parts were all measured to fit me. (I liked the straight Thomson masterpiece seat post better too, but the pro put me on the slanted one)

Total cost= A bit over 2K..

Value of my experience building bike= Priceless.

Debating about changing the hoods to red, but other than that it's perfect.

i have never seen the chainring profile of one of those hollowgram cranks before, very interesting. Does that reverse sharkfin make the chain transfer off the teeth more efficiently?

Supposedly. I have never found anything to shift better than campy rings though. The cannodales are better than the sram ones, and on par with shimano, but not quite up to the level of campy. Next on my list to try are the stronglight ones.

Well, a few more hot ones added, in my opinion at least, since I posted about 2 pages back.
