I really wanted to get a lunch time ride in today but it was raining cats and dogs here in Brooklyn.... so I put on fenders. I ended up losing my Garmin Cadence/speed censor [zip ties weren't on tight and it slipped outward] I cranked right through that motherF'er breaking into pieces onto the wet pavement. I guess I'm lucky it didn't go into the spokes. I did manage to snap some decent pics of the bike after the ride though.
sheldon fender nuts for the win! sheldon fender nuts are brake nuts that extend outward and have a 5mm thread inside that you can put the fender bolt into - so you can quickly/easily put on fenders.
fenders may seem dorky, but damn they keep the drivetrain/frame clean. I was soaked through and through regardless, but at least the bike was spic and span after the ride.
