Just got around to installing a more matching saddle and tape.....I like it :)
I gave up on the white Hudz as I just could not get them clean enough to my liking.

Sweet Teschner. Please remove the pump and stick it in a jersey pocket.

exhibitx 06-06-09 12:40 PM

or at least put it on the non-drive side

lung 06-06-09 12:44 PM

Yes... for God's sake man... lose the pump! It's called Co2!! Otherwise... nice bike!

Get red Hudz, then. They will match your saddle well.

Wow, that looks awesome. Do you have a close-up of the flames?

VA_Esquire 06-07-09 05:33 PM

Slimvela, nice looking bike :thumb:
How much does just a basic paint job usually cost?

Just get a proper frame pump and be done with it.

Don't carry a pump that big in a jersey pocket on my group ride, please.

And CO2... I think we've :deadhorse:
EDIT: By the way, that bike is hot sex. You don't need a more aggressive stem or anything else. These people (myself included) just say "flip it" because they can't have your dope bike. :)

slimvela 06-07-09 05:57 PM

Lamp shade...thank you

scoots826...i dug these photos up for ya.

VA Esquire...thanks, but not for hire; for the moment at least. sorry. wife is trying to talk me into doing this kind of work as a side business on the weekends; to kind of let my hot rod/classic car building talents work their way over to bicycles. don't know yet, we'll see.

Do you have any idea what my monthly bills add up to for psychological counseling for my stable of rigs? Financially, you are destroying me. Before today's long ride, I had to skip over 3 bikes before I found one confident enough to face the light of day. Stop the madness! I beseech you.

Okay, that was funny.

very hot...would be hotter with sram though

veloboy971 06-08-09 06:56 AM

sram sucks...a few buddies of mine have had their deraileur cages break right off with absolutely no pressure to the pedals

Improperly installed and or adjusted components suck and I am not a SRAM fanboy.

Finished this build for a good friend about a month ago, and turned the keys over to him 2 weeks ago after shaking it down for ~150 miles. :)

A NOS Chesini X-UNO frameset fished out of eBay, outfitted with new Campy Centaur 10 speed group:
