I remember some of those drills. They hurt. :o

On a completely different topic I'm shopping for my next submission in the hot or not thread right now. I forgot how hard it can be deciding on a frame.

also the most important part of spin is the bathroom. their wallpaper is a naked bike race (it's naked women not men, so if ur into men you're out of luck)

damn, tough room

To get us back on the subject. Here is my race bike from 2010. I have sold it but have very fond memories of it...

My cross bike. I am going with black bar tape when it's time to replace the white. I swear the saddle doesn't look this weird in real life. :o

I refuse to submit my bike because it's a Trek and I don't have enough saddle to bar drop for bikeforums approval. I love the bike, but it would never pass the Hot or Not test.

So i'm reposting my Giant. I've had a new Seat, pedals and new tires. Initially i was going to put Dura Ace 9070 on, but I've decided to wait for a new bike next year.

Just finished this bike. Hope you enjoy, the white handlebar/stem, that I personally like a lot, but some of you might not.

The Litespeed not so much. The frame has some funky lines for my taste but I bet in person she may be stunning.

What's up Captain Cross-chain?

The Lightspeed would be hot if there wasn't SRAM wiped all over it.

bianchi10 03-09-13 10:19 PM

Except for the cross chain, I dig the litespeed!

Hot

Don't care for the giant though. Sweet bike but it just doesn't do it for me.

Giant = Hot. Would be hotter with some veloflex carbon/extreme tires which would maintain the black/white color scheme

robbyville 03-10-13 08:24 AM

Giant absolutely hot other than the cross chain makes your derailleur look like it's being put on the old torture rack.

yeah that stem on the Litespeed ruined it for me, other wise it would have been cool

Ross11 03-10-13 09:34 AM

That Lightspeed is very hot!

road hard today and put away wet... okay lovingly cleaned then put away.

First ride on the new wheels. I have to say I like them a lot more than the zipps

The Gallium is one of the frames I have been considering. Care to give a short review?

gadabout007 03-10-13 03:10 PM

love to.

This is my second Gallium and I'll be going back to Argon for my next frame when I'm ready to sell this one.

The gallium is all about stiffness. The BB shell is massive and the NDS chainstay is physically part of the shell to counteract rotational torque. It uses a press fit BB86 bottom bracket which has been a silent workhorse since I bought the bike last spring.

The 3D Headtube is fantastic if you're like me and need a couple spacers under your stem. Instead of using spacers the 3D headtube is threaded into the headset so it's physically part of the frame. When I'm out of the saddle sprinting, the only flex is is in the bars with cockpit acting a solid single piece.

The Gallium and Gallium Pro are compatible with both electronic and mechanical. My only complaint with the electronic setup was the frame opening. It was not wide enough for the Di2 connector to go through and needed a little dremmel love. The battery is mounted on the NDS chainstay, not in goofy locations like under the BB shell or beneath the water bottle cage.

The ASP seatpost included was IMO ugly and also didn't have nearly enough setback for me.

Overall I'm thrilled with the frame and don't even look at my other bikes anymore. This is the only bike I want ride. It's also not a very common frame and it's pretty rare that I see another one on a group ride. The 2013 Gallium is matte black and pretty damn sexy IMO

Can't find the budget hot or not, so this will have to do.

Built this up yesterday from craiglist sourced parts, I have maybe $300 in it:

I really like this one, unfortunately that means I'll probably wind up keeping it.
