This bike should have a quill stem and silver bars IMO.

I know. I´ve been really tempted to do that, but as the De Rosa is an smaller frame I´ve been thinking of leaving my personal radio antenna (one never knows when something may go wrong out on the road) so it could fit a wider range of people if I get to sell it (even if its almost new).

Thanks on the comment.

ronaldo...both time and the de rosa are hot! i assume you just race the Time (only 1 bottle cage?) - you have enough saddle to bar drop on those that i don't see a need for slamming the stem...my only suggestion would be better pictures! : ) cheers!

rho 12-27-12 07:01 PM

Thanks Eduardo, actually I use the Time almost all the time, thing is somehow I broke one bottle cage and have not found another Time carbon cage :(

I posted this a while ago with no feed back. It's the initial set up and looks a bit different now, I just feel like this pic is a little more hot worthy.

Cipollini special! Nice bike.
Pretty hot, IMO. To nitpick on hotness, I'd say extra points can be gained from matching the stem and seatpost - either black/black or silver/silver.

Adrian_ 12-27-12 07:48 PM

Thanks a bunch, right now the stem and seatpost do match(Ugly Cinelli frog stem and black thomson) I just chose this picture because it looks better then the current setup. If you want to see it click the red text in my signature.

Oh, yeah. That is better. I like the yellow saddle on there - throw some yellow tape on there and it's smokin' ;)

I just spent 15 minutes of my evening going back and reading that conversation about the yellow Bridgestone....

I feel taken advantage of.

It did, However I am in the process of updating it to be more modern. I have not been able to find a quill stem with a 31.8 bar mount. Should be getting a new tarmac in a few months.

Definately hot. The contrasting of black and white between the downtube and boyd wheels are a perfect match.

Probably hot but I doubt anyone is going to vote that way with that photo.

Sorry - not well versed with attaching photos on here. As far as the picture itself no white garage door here.

As a commuter, hot.

As a "road bike", I'm going with "not".

Is this not a commuter-friendly zone?

Sure it is, just not in the "hot or not" thread. ;)

Oh please, a commuter can be hot! Just more of a classy, 1940's movie star hot ;)

Sure it can. It's a context thing IMO - we're in the roadie sub-forum, so IMO this is where it misses the mark.
Outside of the "road bike hotness" context, yours is a really cool bike.

Kinda like if I had a cool Subaru Outback wagon and posted it in a 4x4 truck subforum. That's just my take, based on the flavor of the "road bike" subforum, but hey, I could be way off.

Oh, welcome to the 41 ;) (the Road Bike subforum)
