That Fuji might be the sleeper of the aluminum racing bike world. All anyone speaks of is the CAAD, but those Fujis are great performers in crits and road races and very well priced. I have several teammates who have raced them extensively. Congrats.

If anyone wants one, I'm replacing mine this week, just bought a used Tarmac in the Marketplace. The Fuji has done well for the last 2 years though. I personally thought the white Fuji down the seat tube was enough to warrant the cables, tape, and seat :)

I see nothing wrong with this build. Colnago, SR11, gumwalls.. H.O.T

Looks like you are saving the wheels. :)

.. Vueltas looks HOT on this bike :)

Surfer3287 12-21-12 08:12 AM

They were :free" when I bought the frame :) I wasn't going to argue when I paid $200 for everything shipped, was probably the cheapest part of the bike build

Oh.. it was a great deal. Zerolites not that bad... I had them on my hardtail XC some time ago.

They may not be appropriate for this thread, but I've loved them so far. Heavier but really smooth. I pulled off half of the decal (the swooshy white part) so now it's just the red and black Zerolite by Vuelta portion, much sleeker

hi there, I just want some advice on what kind of bottle cages could look nice on this ride (maybe white?). I know the picture is all messed up by leaving the chain on the smaller ring and not having the right pedal at 3:00. I´m also considering on removing the upper spacer so it doesn´t look weird.

Thanks in advance,

Ronaldo

NWS Alpine 12-21-12 11:33 AM

I would get some white carbon Arundel Mandible cages.

You'd have to check to the color to be sure, but I think this would look good:http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=289429
http://www.elite-it.com/custom-race/ half way down on the choices

Nagrom_ 12-21-12 11:39 AM

If you're gonna go with elites, these would look better:

I might actually mix the two, so that the bracket matched the tube; I would hate that either didn't match...

fugly.

rho 12-21-12 01:48 PM

Those custom race cages look great! I also thought about getting one of each color. White Arundels look classy as hell, however this is kind of my race bike, so I think I´m getting the elites. Hope to be able to get them soon at the LBS.

Not sure what exactly you mean about it being a race bike and not wanting to get the Mandibles. They are know to be one of the most secure holders out there.

MajorMantra 12-21-12 06:30 PM

Wouldn't be my first choice of C59 colour scheme, but still a definite hot.

I´m pretty sure they are safe. However it will be really hard to get them from any LBS down here, already phoned some and they don´t even know the brand :(

I know there is a lot of nice componentry out there, but I´m realistic and thats one of the reasons I´m using Shimano instead of Campagnolo... If something goes wrong with a chain, I could easiley get a DA chain, cassete or almost any part right away. On the other hand I shoul wait about 1-2 months in order to get Campy stuff...

I just want to keep it simple in terms of mainentance and availability. However I agree that arundels look really nice and classy.

Regards

Not into the bars or the big spacer stack, and the housing loop seems a little short and kinked for Sram.

Why not buy a Synapse if that's how you're going to set it up?

Sorry. Not hot.

Sorry, that's how it came, I haven't ridden it enough to find out what comfortable, I will drop the spacers a bit at a time.

I didn't buy a synapse cause I didn't want one.

Housing Loop? is that the loop at the RD? It doesn't seem to bind when shifting, I'll keep an eye on it. I wish I could take it to a LBS, I live in Okinawa, Japan. I bought the Bike at the PX, they are a Cannondale/Trek dealer here on island. Only problem is they don't have any shop Mechanics. There are several bike stores on island, however there is a language barrier, and its expensive as hell. I wish I could have gotten a nice bike fit out of the deal, but doing my own maintenance, and bike fitting is par for the course until I get back to the states. I am also scared to have the steerer cut.

Thanks for the tips,

Jimmy
