Main setup this year with the psimet powertap, Enve compacts, and Romin Evo Pro.

KCNC C7s are in the box with SR EPS, Enve 65s in the bags. For the next bike.

Almost hot--something seems a bit skinny about that fork compared to the rest of the frame.

Hot! Though I'd say that about anything black and white most likely

This is a very clean and well color balanced bike with the over-used red, white, black scheme. I don't know that I would call it "hot", but certainly good looking.

This is one of the few bikes I've seen that looks good with colored cables. Not quite sold on the red hoods though.

I posted my Yuba Boda Boda before, but now it has a fancy new custom trailer that I made myself. Also added a matching bamboo cage.

Yeah, I know that the photo is non-drive side, but with trailers it's all about the 'hitch side'. ;-)
Also, no one on the planet (that I am aware of) makes 20" cream colored tires. Dammit!

This is so over the top that I vote Hot. The batter's helmet is a bit much, I think, though.

What in the world do you use this bike for?

LuMax 07-01-13 08:57 PM

"Batter's Helmet"? That's a Bern Watts cycling helmet. I did custom paint it though.
I use this bike instead of a car for hauling groceries, packages, people, etc around town.
On the 4th it will carry a big cooler, camp chairs, 2 dogs, & a canopy to the park & back.
I also made the custom front basket liner and rear platform pad.

kcollier5 07-01-13 09:20 PM

:roflmao2:I'm not sure that it's a cycling helmet. (juust kidding) Still looks like a batter's helmet, though sorry...

Not a huge fan of Treks, but that's a good looking Trek. Debadging the wheels would increase it's hotness. And obviously, cut the steerer. Also, bars look rotated down?? Almost hot, imo.

rjones28 07-03-13 08:49 AM

Yuba Boda Boda is Utilitarian Hot.

Haha, I started out with white, then went blue, then went black. I've only had the bike since March. I like to change the bar tape often.

kcollier5 07-03-13 03:00 PM

I actually like the black better. But then, the practicality of white bar tape has never made sense to me. If it's clean, it screams, "I never ride!" and if it's dirty, it just looks bad.

SpeshulEd 07-03-13 05:58 PM

Yeah, I had to fix the chain on a ride and the white never looked the same after. After about a month it looked disgusting.

For the record, the seat is black on the other side, so the tape and the seat do match.

I like this tape a lot, it's the cinelli caleido tape...you can't see it from far away, but it has color bits in the holes. (not my photo)

And then the blue bar plugs are actually the nitto plugs that expand...they match my shoes perfectly. Yep, I'm a dork.

nicely done Ed! i've been considering that tape for my build too. it looks fantastic.

SpeshulEd 07-03-13 07:17 PM

Scrod had it on his bike and I liked the looks of it, he gave it the thumbs up so I went for it.

I don't have a lot of experience with different bartape, but I like it.

theanimal 07-03-13 07:42 PM

Ok let me take another crack at this.
Finally got the pedals and cages on, adjusted the Garmin and leveled out the seat.
Hell I even broke out the Nikon D7000 so I didn't get beat up on the quality.
