The more i look at it, the more i like the paint-job. I still love the stock giant ones though. Sweet bike in any case

Yes, my buddy got these wheels second hand for under $400 I believe. It's actually a Flashpoint wheel in the back with Zipp stickers. Fast.

It's actually clear coat over carbon, you can't really see it. It's really dirty and smudgy in this shot. After this weekend i'll wash it up and do some glam shots :)

Lynsky, kestrel, and Parlee are all hawt.

The kestrel looks like it's ready to brawl in a road race.

Tell me more about your Kestrel. But only good things. I just ordered the 2009 version, black, white and orange, all Dura Ace. Arrives Monday.

Love the bike. Its my second personal build, first carbon bike since I started road cycling last year. I really have no complaints; the overall finish of the frame is excellent and the geometry of the RT800 was perfect for me. Most of my riding is recreational, and even with a stiff frame and bb, its comfortable enough for long distance rides.

Thanks. But the closest "brawl" this bike has seen was when we ran into a local group ride in LI avg. 22-25mph. And sad to say, its been in the garage for almost 3 weeks now just standing pretty. I don't even think the wheels/tires are broken in yet, hardly 300 miles. After a current promotion, crazy schedule, and more time at the gym, cycling time has diminished.

Be kind please! - and since it's the post above you that you're supposed to comment on, your Kestrel looks fast, sitting still =p

^ I like the matching tires. Nice touch. Are those Hutch Fusion2? they look like it. I'm a Huge fan of the Fusion2. for tires that can be gotten at ~$25 each, they are untouchable until you get into the ~$45 range.

They sure are (well they're the ProTech line) - the price was right where I needed it, and so far they've been great :thumb: (the reds also match pretty well :D )

Edit: They're sooo much easier to mount than the factory tires....

Thanks. Mine arrived today. Just finished putting it together and had time for a very short ride. I love it. So much lighter, smoother and stiffer than the Specialized Roubaix triple Elite. I've got to adjust the front dérailleur a bit, then take it for a longer ride tomorrow.
