That my friend is ignorance. Several scattante frames are identical to other brands (lynskey and pedal force) and most others have the same fit and finish than framessets that cost twice as much.

And then there is the fact that the quality and customer support complaints are much lower than BD.

Thanks for the comments Herbie53. This was actually built with a full Ultegra groupset, not even the SL. I had already spent quite a bit on the home CFO's bike which was also a Lynskey Ti. The DA 7800 cranks were a new but second-hand purchase off togoparts based here in Singapore. I'll need to save up for a full DA 7900 set however there is a certain Canon 5D camera body that I want to get first. The saying that "the difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys" is certainly true in my case.

Thanks for your comments, however you have a beauty of a bike too. I really like the bottle cages. With a Helix frame, it would then be "wickedly" beautiful.

Updated with a few new parts. I've been posting it all over. Don't mind the spacer stack, been playing a bit with my bar position/drop and haven't totally decided on it yet.

You're on weightweenies aren't you? :)

For some reason the frame doesn't do it for me aesthetically, but I respect the hell out of the build.

How much are those frames going for. I've heard the jokes but not the price. I would have no compunction giving that a respray with large metallic flakes in a can of blue that set off nicely against a Campagnolo Century Grey gruppo.

The slough of black and white colorways on new bikes lately is doing nothing for me. Less than a majestic Klein fade.

I might still get a white saddle. I won't go back to white bar tape its too much of a pain to clean. White rubber hoods are much easier to clean.

They are around $500 shipped. You can also get them without a clear coat. And I would agree that black and white is really overdone but it works with this frame.

Its really smooth haha. I think the only way they could break is in a crash or if I hit them against something while carrying it in the house (no space in the garage due to my father's shop) but I am always super careful.

I'm envious of the build. I hope to have my own going here soon. :)

Actually someone in the topic about my bike asked me to post it here.

Couldn't find a celeste seatpost?

The bike is completely Campagnolo (complete means including the headset, bottle holders, seatpost clamp and seatpost) so a non-Campy seatpost would not do.
