maaku that's a hot giant, but why'd you paint it solid black!!? i'm actually a real fan of the giant color schemes

The more i look at it, the more i like the paint-job. I still love the stock giant ones though. Sweet bike in any case

Yes, my buddy got these wheels second hand for under $400 I believe. It's actually a Flashpoint wheel in the back with Zipp stickers. Fast.
It's actually clear coat over carbon, you can't really see it. It's really dirty and smudgy in this shot. After this weekend i'll wash it up and do some glam shots

The kestrel looks like it's ready to brawl in a road race.

Thanks. But the closest "brawl" this bike has seen was when we ran into a local group ride in LI avg. 22-25mph. And sad to say, its been in the garage for almost 3 weeks now just standing pretty. I don't even think the wheels/tires are broken in yet, hardly 300 miles. After a current promotion, crazy schedule, and more time at the gym, cycling time has diminished.

Be kind please! - and since it's the post above you that you're supposed to comment on, your Kestrel looks fast, sitting still =p

^ I like the matching tires. Nice touch. Are those Hutch Fusion2? they look like it. I'm a Huge fan of the Fusion2. for tires that can be gotten at ~$25 each, they are untouchable until you get into the ~$45 range.

)Edit: They're sooo much easier to mount than the factory tires....

Love the bike. Its my second personal build, first carbon bike since I started road cycling last year. I really have no complaints; the overall finish of the frame is excellent and the geometry of the RT800 was perfect for me. Most of my riding is recreational, and even with a stiff frame and bb, its comfortable enough for long distance rides.
