Not for me. I'm with Sci guy here. In my eyes, this frame needs a -10deg. I would also prefer to see one color brake cable, Blk or white, but would be best in black IMO. Black chain rings. It might be an optical illusion, but the seatpost looks larger in diameter than the frame it sits on.

As for the seat post, it's a Trek...it's a seat mast CAP so it is larger because it fits over the frame.

I completely understand, fit is most important. I'm just judging off of how it looks aesthtically. I have been labled the "Simon Cowell" of the Hot-r-Not thread. I used to be very blunt with my judgements, but have tried to lighten it up lately. Your bike is not ugly in any shape or form. The things I pointed out are just things that stick out to me when I look at it. As for the seatpost cap, I didn't know that was something Trek did. I am a known Trek "Hater" here. It is VERY rare that I find a Trek to be appealing. I have seen a handful, but they are a rare case.

You do realize this is the Hot -r-Not and it is all about how a bike looks, yeah?

the trek is pretty hot. the opera is pretty hot, but it i'd like it better if it had matching blue handlebar tape

I like it, even with the web advert. One question: why the long r der cage? Running a compact or a big cassette? Looks like a 135BCD so not a compact.
Also, campy pro fit pedals: cool! I used to sell those (rarely) to folks building *full campy* bikes. Back in a good old days of alloy shifting paddles on the ergolevers.

I'm also not a Trek fan but this is a good looking bike. At least lukewarm anyway! I'd also love to know what these bikes cost... Good sir, would you be willing to tell us how much $ you have in this bike? If not, I understand.

With everyone else on the Trek. Not bad, for a Trek that is.

Frame: $1900.00 includes brakes
Wheels: $3000.00 roughly
Red group: $5650.00 everything including bars, stem, saddle, pedals and SRM
Total: $10,548.00
But it could be built for less. That's just adding up retails on everything. I had the wheels and extra bits. I ordered the frame (frame set, post, bb, seat mast, headset) from Trek, the parts from SRAM. Being a team and shop mechanic I've got access to some stuff.

Well...what I pay for bike stuff and what retail is are very different. If someone wanted to build one like this, i could break it down.

Wow.
However, I wasn't asking how much it sold for retail, as you say, most people don't pay full retail. I'm just wondering how much $ you had in it. It's a nice frame, don't get me wrong. A great bike I'm sure. It's just fascinating to me to see how much people have in their bikes vs what they are getting.
Here, I'll post one of mine. Yes, it's been posted before but as to this question.
This is a 2008 Felt F2 w full Dura Ace group set, Mavic Kysyrium SL wheels and Michelin ProRace3 tires. Weighs in at 15.2 lbs with Speedplay pedals installed. I bought it used on CL and after all of my upgrades have about $1,500 in it.
Doesn't hold a candle to yours, but a few dollars less as well...

I'm not much of Trek person either, but I do love their project one website. It's fun to design your own bike. My favorite one that I built was metallic brown with dark blue and orange accents.
There really needs to be a website with with all the different products and you can go through and select what you want on the bike to see what it looks like. I guess thats what photoshop is for.

He said they were edge (enve) rims laced to dt 240s. If you use aerolite spokes, upgrade to ceramic bearings, and add a set of nice skewers you could get in the $2800-2900 range before shipping.

I know, I'm like the 15th person who has reposted this picture. This is a great looking Trek. I have to wonder why someone would pay over a grand more for the six series frameset.

Since no one likes Trek, here's another.
15.09# with garmin, k-edge garmin and go pro mounts, heavy pedals, and bottle cages. If I went with some tubular wheels and, carbon bar, and lighter speedplays, I could get it down close to 14#.

the boss at the LBS has a 7.9 madone Vapor Coat, Di2 dura ace, aeolus 3's, Speedplay Zero Ti's,
AND a matching Speed Concept, but then again he's the boss ha.
Unfortunately I'm still running tiagra 9spd but I can say I built my own wheels.
GT SRS 3
Planet X brakes
38mm Carbon Tubulars/Conti Sprinters/Dura Ace 9 Cassette
WCS Logic II Bars
Ritchey Pro Seatpost, Streem Ti Saddle.
KMC x10sl
Right now she's 18lbs kinda lazy to cut my steer tube

Nice looking bike. Is it me or is your right foot angling out?
