This bike has a couple things that I'm not usually fond of (Thomson setback post, -17 degree stem and bars completely flat, gold chain), but everything just works here!

Here is what the owner had to say:

I just completed my Master's degree, and am now moving up to the Bay Area. I'd been thinking of a new frame for quite a while; originally considered the orange Specialized Tarmac, but I couldn't get a decent deal on it. A friend at a LBS hooked me up with a 2013 Cannondale Evo and custom paint by the guys over at Cycle Therapy (they're in Orange, CA, go check them out!). So anyways, here's my gift to myself. Hope you enjoy!

Awkwardly tall bike for an awkwardly tall rider..

Imagine how it would look with regular aluminum box rims!

Super hot, but you should align the tire labels to the valve!

They're aligned to the checkered flags on the smaller labels. It might look better with centered labels after reconsideration, though...

 Looking at that Evo I had a similar reaction: Holy **** that's a short dude! Looks like a 49, maximum!

I think it looks good!

redlude97 04-25-14 10:24 AM

i like the evo, but one nitpick is that none of the whites on the frame, crank, wheels, saddle, or tape match

RPK79 04-25-14 10:32 AM

I have an opinion on the Evo, but since the owner didn't post it in the thread I'm going to reserve judgement.

Hot. I'm not a huge fan of the FFWD decals on this build, but otherwise it looks really good. Would probably fit me, too.

Two hot EVO's but because I'm a guy that likes color, I love, love, LOVE the blue EVO. Wow, what a beauty!

(When a bike is that hot, it makes the wheel decals ok to me…)

My new ride: Wilier Cento 1 SR with Campy Chorus and Fast Forward 60 wheels / Swiss D240 hubs.... I ordered this bike back in December in a custom color (black and hot pink) and it came out looking pretty slick....

Herbie53 04-27-14 02:35 PM

That Evo paint scheme is awesome. IMO bike makers could take a lesson from that.. fewer well applied decals/logos and simple color schemes works well.

LesterOfPuppets 04-27-14 02:47 PM

Yep. More nice paint + less graphics would be nice.

No problem with some road bikes looking like Motocross bikes, but ALL of them shouldn't.

Not a fan of that crank at all, especially considering how pretty the Chorus crank is, but I'll be damned if that isn't hot.

Gotta agree with "pretty hot except for crankset" opinion...custom paint is much cleaner looking than the standard Wilier approach IMO as well...
