Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If your bike is actually liked in this thread than most likely it's a turd. It's bizzaro world in here.

It is a world with very specific rules and a very narrow aesthetic, which like all aesthetics, is also completely subjective.

It is like a juried art competition---the jurors "decide" what is and is not art. Michelangelo might not make the cut and Mark Rothko might be called a genius.

I posted a pic of my bike once ... people were actually quite charitable while telling me how horrible it was. usually they are harsher.

Either way ... I don't post pics here any more.

I think the Pinarello's hot. Not a big fan of paint schemes including hi-vis (I just feel they don't age well), but I love the combo there. I get the impression that a lot of companies go with boring black/red/white combinations on their top models, while reserving more daring and unusual colourways for the mid-to-low end bikes.

not that that pinarello is bad, just not fond of this styling direction of this f8/f10/gan family. setup and position is good. the graphics is just a bit too much.... 3rd and 4th color esp in highlighter-green is unecessary. 7.5/10

Well, they weren't wrong. I'd say there are other issues than that, but I won't go into it.

LOL, close but no cigar. Has all the boxes ticked off, but doesn't execute.

I like that pinarello a lot, I think the aluminum brake tracks and garmin mount are detracting from the HOTNESS level. Colorway is sweet.

The one in my post is his. He deleted the original post, but I used the power of the internet to resurrect the photo.

thanks

This is a century/weekend warrior machine. I took it out on 70miles last saturday's club ride, it rode fast and got allot of comments from my team mates. This Sunday I plan to do my Century a month challenge on this bike. Fit is similar to my Felt F4 so I don't see too much issue in 5+ hour rides. Biggest thing is ergo change from SRAM to Shimano hoods and angles.

I still need to see if I can fit 28c tires into the frame.

What is that? Whatever it is, it simultaneously has and lacks vision. See what I did there?

What bars are those? Maybe its just the angle, but the curve looks odd.

The handlebar is a 3T Tornova; ergo tops from the Ergonova with traditional drops from the Rotundo.
