Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I know it has been here before but since I'll be tearing it down in a few days thought I would post it one more time. I did replace the gray chain rings with black since the last time it was posted though.

Love the colnago, I had to sell my steel colnago super and ciocc to buy my new pinarello. Wanna start racing and didn't think steel bikes with d/t friction shifting would do the job.

Thank you. Di2, quarq, wheels, stem, and bars will be going to the Parlee. Haven't decided if I will use red or black brakes on the new bike yet. I have the Planet X's in both colors. Also haven't decided if I will be keeping my Colnago as a backup bike or my Fuji SL1.

Nope, a 5qt oil jug w/ a half gallon of diesel fuel in it.

My bike makes me happy, reduces the amount of flab hanging under my chin and best of all was free.. what more can you need?

It'd be nice if I could spend several thousand on a bike like the rest of you but that's impossible for me.

Squeezed in just under 35mi today.

How about new bar tape and a tool to remove that cable lock?

You gotta start somewhere.

It's not your bike as much as it is your staging and all the stuff you have hanging on it. The paneled wall? You must have attended my last staging class!!!

The bar tape is brand new and I admit I kinda messed up on the color.. one of those things you learn by doing.

What, am I supposed to leave my bike worth 400 used outside of Walmart or the library (they have signs posted warning of high volume of bike theft there) completely unchained? No way.

Lol even the wall gets roasted.. tough crowd. What exactly would you change with my bike? Which specific items and in what way? Keep in mind its a commuter/ recreational fitness bike not a race bike like every single one of yours is.

At the risk of going off course, a commuter can look good, some actually look very hot.

keep it clean, the parts nicely matched, and carry the lock on your seat rails, belt, or in a bag.

mine isn't "hot" but it is presentable (or so I think)
