Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

^^ yeah, both nice, but I don't like that funky thing Trek are doing with the big gap between the down-tube and the front wheel/fork crown

-Level your saddle: Done
-take pic from drive train side: Will do. Thanks for the tip!

Still a bicycle noob. Just got a flat tire today and I realized I don't know how to fix it myself... I'm gonna go to LBS tomorrow to learn how to do it

Don't worry a bit about being a noob. Just ride it like you stole it.

Oh, also always take pics with chain on big chain ring.

Rules for bike pictures:

1) White garage/wall backdrop.
2) Drivetrain facing forward.
3) Chain on big chainring, small cog in the back.
4) Crank arms at 6 and 9 (or 12 and 6 if using a pedal support).
5) Tire valves at 12 o'clock.

Forgive me for the ripped tape. Yes, I know, wrong side... Now all I need is some pedals.

One of my other toys I got out today for some practice before the big season!

Four observations:

1. That's one heck of a head tube. Are you Yow Ming in real life?
2. Is that chain missing a few links? It looks rather short.
3. Wireless computer.
4. Wrong forum for the bow.

Yeah, I am Yow Ming.
Na, but I can get really low! (It's a 61cm)

My goal is to get the bars to the bottom by the end of next season without any discomfort. I'd rather get some shoes/pedals before I get a wireless computer. lol

The bow, I just love it too much not to show it off!

Motman320 - ok, first of all that is a competent bike and if you love it ride it like you stole it. BUT:

this is a hot or not thread, which means you have to step up your game. Look at the previous 15 pages. Torn tape = you didn't even try. Taking pic from non-drive side in front of a generic Ford (hey, I own the cheapest Ford explorer out there just don't take pics of my bike in front of it) = didn't even try. That poor Tiagra rear derailer looks like its stretched to its breaking point. And as far as your bow - you took a pic of it laying on the floor. I don't know a lot about bows but if I spent a lot of money on one I'd want to show it off right - not laying on the floor. This thread is about things that you own that promote your passion of your hobbies. Presentation counts. Try. Harder.

How about some consructive critisism please?

lol

I tried to put it on a chair, but that didn't work. I wasn't just going to leave it in it's CASE.

You think I should try harder to show off my STOCK Allez? (not infront of a zx2) I'm not trying to win a contest here.. pshh laff So I took it into the bike store yesterday before the ride to get it checked over. Don't you think they would have caught the derailer? How should I got about adjusting that? I mean after all, it is stock, I don't think that it was messed with at all.

Oh and not to mention the saddle is ripped on the other side.

edit: hawt... with cages... LOL!

Yellow Power Tap head units aren't hot. Time to step up your game and get one of those Slipstream-colored 705s.
