Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You wouldnt have liked it earlier, I had the stem flipped up. Just had it flipped down today. The positioning right now is aggressive enough, I may take the spacers out little by little as I get used to the geometry.

What's wrong with the handlebars?
Mountains?? C'mon man.. 53/39 with a 12-25 is just fine for mountains!

Some traditional handlebars are where it's at. What size is your bike?

Edit: Get Mavic SLs.. stay OG. Rovals ride weird, Fulcrums only look good on Wiliers.

Good point about the black Thomson. You know me though...

I hope I can get out for another crit. It's tough with school starting back up, as the kids are out of their minds at the end of the day, and I need to help. We also have a soccer practice on Thursdays

Traditional handlebars? you mean the deep round drop instead of the semi-deep staggered drop I have on right now? My bike is a 56cm.

I was leaning more towards the Mavics anyways... my LBS is getting me a set of each (Mavic, Roval, Fulcrum) to test ride for a week.

I would be on that Storck; and to be totally honest, that bike sucked. The brakes sucked, I snapped the chain w/in 15 minutes of taking it out. I just wasn't really happy with it.

I like my waterford more

I hear ya - I'm single and its a challenge for me sometimes. If I wasn't commuting I'd have a hard time getting a decent amount of miles in. I'd like to get out to another Thurs. crit though before the season's totally over.

well - can't fault the whole bike for a couple of bad parts. I remember it was really really stiff. Cornered and descended great. Didn't climb well at all though. It might have been better if I could've spent more time tweaking it to my fit.

I've never ridden a Waterford but I hear they're nice.

I love that LOOK bike with the white Cinelli Ram bar and red spokes! Other bikes, especially black ones with black wheels, they all look the same
to me. Especially those Giants and Fujis, etc. too many big logos on the frame/fork and even on the wheels.

Hopefully not, I find many of the bikes in the beginning hot especially your blue Giant... I have a red 2006 TCR C2 that I use for training and racing that I am thinking of upgrading with new wheels to become hotter looking

I think if you look at the picture you posted and compare that with the majority of other pictures in this thread, you will (most likely) deduce that the comment probably was directed at you.

Parlee Z4 frameset (55cm).

Campagnolo Chorus (175mm cranks) with a Record Full Titanium Cassette (12T-25T), Deda Newton Belgian Deep Drop bars (44cm) with a Deda Zero 100 stem (110mm).

Lightweight Ventoux wheels, Continental GP4000 tubular tires.

The Pinarello M.O.st branded seatpost and Selle San Marco saddle were replaced by an AX-Lightness Europa seatpost and a Tune Concorde saddle. The spacers were removed.

14.3 pounds with bottle cage and Speedplay Zero Titanium pedals with the AX-Lightness and Tune pieces.

Also: I don't have the bike anymore, just the wheels.
