Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yup I can now say I have 5 sec power over 1000 Watts.

How long do pro riders stay over 1000 Watts? 30 seconds?

It would be cool to see what kind of speed I could get with a good lead out. On the flats I'm near 40mph now.

I'd bet most of them are over that. I've held 1008W for 34 seconds, so a Euro pro as big as me would probably be able to hold that for over a minute.
