I just purchased a cycling jersey off of a man on ebay that has been cycling for MS for several years now. He is no longer able to race and is selling his old race memorabilia for the sake of MS. I hope that my buying a jersey is able to contribute even a little bit. Your mom is amazing and I hope she can continue the progress!!

You should be very proud. Good to hear the many ways that cycling can help people's lives. Tell your mother to keep on pushing. Nice work. Inspirational and sweet.

I am TTULaw's wife and Janet Johnson's daughter-in-law. I wanted to thank you all for your kind and encouraging words to her. I know that they will inspire her to ride another 1000 miles. We are so proud of her determination and positive outlook. Thank you all. Congratulations Janet!!

I am inspired by your Mom, Janet.
We know she's tough, she has given birth.
But to overcome the pain, the weakness, the mental fatigue of living with a disease like MS for 10 years to ride a stationary bike ONE THOUSAND MILES shows incredible mental and spiritual toughness, as well as great physical strength.
You are spot-on to be proud of this courageous woman.
Give her a great big hug and kiss (moms love that)
Colleen

From my mom:
I am so touched by your loving notes, and thanks to all those who sent words of encouragement. To paraphrase one of my favorite quotes, "I cannot do everything [like I used to do--like walking 3-5 miles a day] ,but I CAN do something [like riding my stationary bike-daily] ,what I can do, I ought to do, and by the grace of God I will do."
I've already started on my next 1,000 miles. Believe all your kind words will help. My plan is to do 50miles a week [8 miles on Sun. and 7 the rest of the week].
enough----I've got to go finish my 7 for today.
Michael (TTULaw) and Angie, Thanks for helping me feel worthwhile.
Love Always. Mom

Congrats. This is the part where I plug the Bay to Bay ride for MS. Check my signature. Such a great ride and charity.
