components ?
would it be benificial to swap out my ultegra SL for a dura ace dérailleur 7800?
Also would you notice a difference if you just did the rear and not the front ...or is if better as as set front and rear?
I am assuming the ulegra sl shifters will work fine with the Dura Ace.

I'm a newb to road biking, but comparing it to mtn bikes, I would never switch out XT components for XTR, unless they were given to me or if I were seriously considering sponsorship.
Those components will not help your time. If you do end up getting them and notice an improvement, then it was all psychological, not mechanical.

no. Upgrading RD's only adds to marketability. (buyers look at the labeling on the RD.)
