Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good Samaritans in NoVa - THANKS!

my brother in law wrecked on Friday on a MUP outside DC in Northern Virginia where 4 mile run, W&OD and another trail all mingle together near Wilson Blvd. He hit his head and was taken away via ambulance. He has no recollection of what happened.

There were several other bikers who helped call for help and stayed with him while they waited for the ambulance and his wife to arrive with their 2 year old.

Our entire family is grateful for the help these good Samaritans provided. We don't know who you are and we'd like to thank you. You might see him everyday since he is a daily rider - he wont know who you are.

Thankfully he is out of the hospital, still woozy and dizzy but he is on the mend. Not knowing what happened is really bothering him. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident or knows who helped please drop me a line.

Thanks

wow...I'm glad he's getting better and it's good to see that there were people willing to step up and help.
