If your cycling shoes plus pedals and cleats weigh as much as your bike, have you gone too far?

How long until the seatpost & saddle are both inegrated into the frame? The binder and bolts must weigh a ton!

His bikes are pretty interesting. I read about him on WW and he does a lot of his own modifications to help get the weight down. Supposedly, the bikes are actually used on a regular basis as well.

wow...that's nuts! is it durable? is it stiff? does it flex like crazy in places? is it comfortable? it's very interesting...

just curious...could a pro used that on tour? or would not be a very good choice?

i'm pretty sure the UCI has a lower-limit of ~14 lbs.

He rides them in Grand Fondos and Cyclo-Tours when he isn't tuning them.

UCI weight limit is 6.8 KG for a complete bike. That include pedals, cages and computer.

You would need two of these bikes and a lot of lead weights to make a UCI legal ride.

Kickstand? You cannot be serious.

The pros go with Powertaps, aluminum bars and stems, and more comfy saddles. They add the Powertap to get the weight up to the limit.

I thought the new Orca frame was light(~875g) but this guy's frame is a half pound lighter(624g).

oh that's right! i forgot about the weight rules...duh...

the first thing i'm gonna do with my soon-to-arrive Look 595 is put a kickstand on it...it's just convenient, you know? i'd also like to put some fenders and one of those electricity generating hubs and a light for the 595...

What do you have against kickstands you elitist pig? We don't all have friggin Starbucks on every corner to hold up our sub 7 lb. bicycles.
