"The Convert"...you sound a bit young. When you have been riding a bike for about fifty years or so, you will have learned a bit about "real life". One of those life lessons is: "There is many a slip between the cup and the lips".

So, regardless of whatever fantasy Armstrong is currently having about returning, there is no guarantee that any strong team will take him, that the Tour organizers will allow him in the race (they did a good job of barring cyclists with suspected histories of doping during the 2008 race) or that he will be in the health and physical condition necessary to race next July.

But one thing for sure: Armstrong will NOT be standing on the podium in Paris at the end of the race in 2009.

So you won't mind it if we save this little gem and rub your face in it, too, next year?

So, you plan to bet your wife and kids that Armstrong is gonna WIN the Tour in 2009? Why do you hate your wife and kids?

No I don't think Lance will win France 09, but then again I wouldn't put any money on it.

Are you kidding me? Why are you even trying to pull the whole,"I'm really old" thing? I'm also 17, and I don't have to pay bills.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

No, I didn't say I was going to bet my wife and kids he'd win. I just figured since you've already been wrong about Lance not racing the TDF in '09 and probably wrong about him embarrassing himself in July, odds are you're going to be wrong about your third prediction, too.

You're not very good at putting words in other people's mouths. I'll be sure to remind you about our little conversation come July.

Cheers.

And we've all seen how history has treated those guys.

I think alan needs to get laid.

sorry, couldn't resist.

Podium finish for Sir Lancelot....thats with Bruyneel, Contador and Levi at his beck and call. Now if he signs with Cervelo Test Team....rides a Soloist (**** that S name ****) is under Sunderland and supported by Sastre in the mountains with a whole host of ****ing nobodies ready to die for him...well watch out,...anything can happen. One thing is sure though if he does join Vroomen and White...everyone and his mother will be riding Cervelos for the next few years....

This it too funny. Win or lose, both sides in the `Lance-Is-Jesus-Christ-Returned-to-Take-His-Rightful-Place` or `Lance-Is-A-Dope-Fueled-Egotisitical-Maniac-Who-Doesn`t-Know-When-To-Make-A- Graceful-Exit` fight, are primed to wave the `09 Tour result for all eternity. A bit like the basketball court scene in American History X, `...get the **** our OUR courts!` Right or wrong, this result will be used as the last word in all conversations related to Lance`s 7 previous victories.
