This looks interesting for cycling - cell phone with GPS an MIL standard
construction for resistance to moisture, shock and vibration. Samsung a837 - carrier is AT&T so that may not work for all.
From the blurb:
"It's even certified to Military Standard MILSTD-810F for dust, shock, vibration, rain, humidity, solar radiation, altitude and temperature extremes."
GPS services are based on AT&T Navigator.
I carry my phone (not the above) in a baggie or a water bottle shaped fabric "wallet" but having something that I could just toss in my jersey and not prep (heavy sweat) for the riding environment might be nice.

There are already enough people on the road fiddling with their phones, we don't need any more.
At least, not around here.
I like the idea of a stuff proof device, however.

+1, I use mine for stationary emergency use only or to stop and take an image of something interesting. GPS is handy around here with poorly marked county roads when giving directions to one's location or checking for a wrong turn on a cloudy day.

Take a look at the GZ One from Casio, also.

I have one and it's probably one of the most rugged phones out there.
