Water inside of the frame

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Water inside of the frame

Has anyone came across such porblem on Specialized S-Works Tarmac E5? This weekend the rain caught me on the road, so I had nothing better to do then ride home as quick as I can. At home I washed the frame under shower. Next day I found out that there is water inside of the frame and it goes from top tube to down tube. Could it be so because I had no bottle cage bolts installed until now? And one more thing I've noticed. When I put my finger inside of the TT through the head tube, I feel the clearcoat came off the walls. What will this result in? Any ideas?

When I wash my bike there will always be some leftover water in the frame. This is very common and I don't think it will cause any problems. To get rid of the water I usually remove my seatpost and hold the frame upside down to let the water out. Can't help you with the clearcoat problem though, I don't ride a specialized.

I've tried this way and got aprox. 200ml of water! although it's alu, but this can rust the headset and what about the glue which joins alu and carbon tubes?

Wow 200ml is a bit much. I don't think it will cause any problems but you should contact specialized just in case. Seems like there is a problem with the drainage system of your bike.

Your frame is compromised and should be properly disposed of. I will provide such services free of charge.

Once rode my commuter/MTB in a 24 hour relay during which it rained for about 12 hours. After returning home, I removed the BB to find about 30 cc of muddy water. Wherever the water enters the frame, seems to me it will eventually work its way down to the BB. I drilled a small hole in the bottom of the BB shell, at the BB's lowest point. Took care of the problem for me. The frame was Alu.
