Superfeet Insole Recommendation?
I just came back from Sun&Ski just looking around. I was toying with replacing my PI footbed with the Specialized BG's, but the guy recommended Superfeet.
I did a search on here and see that a lot of folks like the Superfeet, but only saw one recommendation on color. I realize that its supposed to be by your arch, but the guy recommended the black because of the way they are built and my mid-arch. They didn't have the bike specific model.
Anyhow, for those of you who use Superfeet. Do you recommend them? What color do you use?

For cycling shoes - Grey.
I like the Superfeet a lot - the grey are ideal for cycling shoes - they take less volume.

Are those at Performance just the grey (or current yellow) but re-branded for them?
Can you find esoles at stores or just online?

Superfeet replaced the grey colored with yellow. I bought them on Ebay, could not find them in stores near me. I've only had them for 2 weeks and use them with Sidi shoes.

Consider esoles. I replaced my Specialized BG's with them and, am very happy.
The other thing is, I don't want an insole to be precompressed at the points where my foot is under the most pressure. I want that part to have lots of "bounce" left in it. That is the point of a good insole, after all.
Edit: I buy it if a podiatrist is making custom orthotics for you. I think this microwave/oven molding stuff is a gimick.

Unless they're cycling-specific, inserts made for walking or running won't really help you on your bike. Maybe they'll make your feet fill the shoe better or something.
Riding and walking/running are very different things as far as your foot is concerned. Your foot and foot joints don't do 1/2 the things they do on a bike as it does when you're walking.

I don't "buy" the whole custom sole thing. Insofar as heat molding goes, they want you to stand in them...my feet exert different pressures standing than they do riding.

Conformable custom insoles = no more hotspots, numbness and pain, without having to pay $$$$$$ to a podiatrist.

Have used Superfeet and generally liked them. However, I prefer and now use the Specialized insoles. (red)
It was trial and error to find what worked best for me - went through a few different brands.
