Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I need to get a copy of Disco Fred. You know. The pic of the corpulent dude stuffed into the Discovery jersey. His helmet was so tight he probably had to butter the sides of his head. Not only corpulent but fat. Anyone?

Bikes: 2008 Giant OCR1 (with panda bear on the back!)

Is that their development team, or some kind of special event?

Not in a disco kit... but this one ain't bad...

Yet the worst part about this pic is the guy in the yellow... his jersey is tucked into his shorts.

I knew I could count on a select few of you but there's one particular pic that has floated in and out of BF. I did a search but no luck.

Come on: Fat Guy, Discovery Jersey/Sausage Casing, fat face, glasses, too small helmet. Standing outside an office door with his bike... It's a vomit classic. The reason I need to find it is because it fits my old riding buddy to a tee.

Wo. I'm 5'11, 215 pounds. I could "fit" the Disco Fred bill. Say, can I borrow your kit?

Hah! I saw a guy just like this 2 weeks ago. Mr. Jamba Juice was completely glowing in lime green: matching helmet, kit, sox, gloves, and bike frame. I should've taken a picture.

It's not lime, it's Celeste.

Pay attention.

The team no longer exists. It was disbanded after 2007. Big George and a couple other notables are in the pic.
