If you are a fit rider, you will outgrow 4 inch rollers very fast. I have 3.5 inch or so from Performance and I can't do 300 Watts on them without it sounding like the house is going to come apart.
I'm in the market for 2.25-2.5 inch so I can actually get the wattage up without the bike and rollers thinking they are going 40 mph.

If I'm not racing I'm most likely riding inside. I can train when my kid is asleep, or when I'm working I have the phone and the computer within reach. Plus it takes the excuses out of accomplishing a workout goal.
