Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I tried that two weeks ago. 100 mile rides back to back.

I find that I have a lot more flats when my tires have a lot of miles on them.

I live in AZ too & I'm using tire liners in Gatorskins. If I have a bike lane, I stay as close to the left as possible (thorns love bike lanes).

"I haven't gotten a flat yet; therefore I don't carry a tube and pump."

Infallible logic, truly.

I think I will revisit umd's "Is BF getting stupider" thread now...

Mac

edit: oh yeah, the original point of the thread for the OP: Gatorskins and Tuffys have fared about equally for me (which is to say pretty well). Never used slime. I would imagine the combination of two or more would be pretty bulletproff, albeit heavy.
