Cycling Magazines -
I've seen discussions on this board for which people think is the best current Magazine on the shelves, but I would like to empirical evidence to which ones people are actually subscribing to. Please click on all that your currently subscribe to.
Please share you thoughts about the ones you have experience with as well.

I don't have any. I spend plenty of time on here and elsewhere on the internet looking at bike schwag I don't need to buy.
I don't need a magazine showing me more bike schwag that I don't need to buy.
If I need actual information, I go to Sheldon Brown or BF.

None.
Magazines = too much paper. If I want to look at something in a magazine or newspaper, I'll look at the online version.

My fave is Cycling Plus, by far. Road Bike Action is next, but seems weak in the factual area. Bicycling was really at the bottom, but it seems to be improving over the past year.

Bicycling. I think my subscription runs out in 2025.

I didn't actually subscribe to it but for some reason i get Bicycling.
If I did subscribe to any magazines I'd do it through ebay. You can get yearly subscriptions to most magazines for pennies. Yes I've done it, and it's no different than signing up online or the old fashioned way.

No subscription. I always buy based on a specific article or topic within the issue. And I like buying from a news stand. I do a quick scan of the cover, the contents, and maybe a quick flip through some pictures and a sentence or two. Bicycling, Road Bike Action and Velo News are what I usually buy. I also read these online sites: Velo News, Daily Peloton, and Cycling News. In fact, VeloNews is my home page. I chose it months ago because of this picture.

Still overpriced. Bicycling isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Full of info-mercials and lifestyle features.
Cycling Plus is the only magazine I regularly buy from that list. They are UK centric on route maps etc(which is good for me as I am a Brit). Their reviews don't seem driven by advertising.
I also loke ProCycling from time to time.

No subscription and these days I generally dont buy mags coz afaik about mags, their reviews are biased. I much prefer user reviews (but even then you have to be open minded). On the odd occasion that I do buy, it's either Cycling Plus or Pro Cycling.

Bicycling because it comes with the Performance Membership Card.
I plan on getting a Velonews subscription though as I find myself picking that up a the the local bookstore often enough to warrant just getting a subscription.

I've read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media.
All of them, any of them that have been in front of me all these years.
I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news, too. Austin isn't a foreign country, where it's kind of suggested, "Wow, how could you keep in touch with what the rest of the cycling world, may be thinking when you live down there in Austin?" Believe me, Austin is like a microcosm of America.
