I rode in the afternoon, so none of the trucks I saw were even close to as clean as the "before" picture in line.

Brooks - Made in England by craftsmen that make a living wage.
Compared to China made Carbon fiber bikes made by people with no civil rights, making poverty wages.
Those English *******s!

My Brooks saddle cost $85. If my calculations are correct, $85 is less than $700. I could be wrong though. . .

I'm just flabbergasted about this stuff. I just read a review on a new Brooks messenger bag, and it was very negative. It was a cool looking bag, and I admit their saddles also have an awesome nostalgic look to them, but this messenger bag I mentioned costs ~$500.00 US???? I can somewhat understand paying over 700 bucks for a saddle with some reputation, but who would ever pay 500 for a leather bag? The executives for this company must be laughing all the way to the bank.

I find myself thinking about new bikes, and I always think... "and how will this look with my brooks?"
I think a nice brushed ti frame with my brown swallow would look very nice. tho I will most likely end up with a carbon frame next, and I may have to get and break in a black swallow to match, tho I most likely will try a few modern saddles first.
