Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mavic seems to have changed... something, because there's a noticeable difference in quality between an older Open Pro and the ones available today. I can't get mine to last longer than a year before the brake track is gone :s

Fulcrum (Campagnolo) make some very nice wheelsets - I have R1s on the CAAD10 and R3s on the Defy and do not have a single complaint about them.

cheers

Also consider Dura Ace C24s at this price. Absolutely bomb proof and even lighter than the Fulcrums.

I would say yes. I have racing 3 2-ways (two sets, actually). If I had the dough, I'd have zero's. NEVER go out of true, comfortable, roll great, and tubeless
