Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It was 33 degrees with a 5-10 mph west wind and snizzling when I left home an hour ago for a ride. It was cold. I was kind of cold. But 20 miles later and I'm still alive. A little cold? Yes, but at least I got out and rode. Of course, now my parents are convinced I am completely insane. But that's okay.

I did the same on the mountain bike yesterday. 34 degrees and falling but I had to try out my new light on the trail before the big Spooky Woods Ride on Friday. Cold + Dark + never having ridden offroad at night = lots of fun. Can't wait for Friday!
