Bontrager Race XXX Lite tires
So I was at my lbs and was talking about new tires with with one of the local pro 1/2 riders that works there and he recommend Bontrager Race XXX Lite tires over any conti's or michellin's. He said they feel the most like a tubular to him and he uses them himself. I cant find any reviews. Any one else used them? What do you think?

Just an off-the-wall question... is he sponsored by Bontrager?

Here's the thing, it matter not what you ask about here, you will find some that love it and some that hate it. IMO you try it out and come to your own conclusion. Do let us know what you find.

I have them on my Litespeed. I like them, but they seem to be wearing a bit faster than my Michelins. . . . probably will go back to Michelins

Last tyre had about 200Km before it died. It could have been my fault, but there was nothing I could do and these things are bound to happen anywhere, and a $100 tyre should hold up under some stress IMO.

All the local bike shops that stock Trek bicycles always try and push Bontrager onto people in my experience. Maybe they get a better markup from Trek for Bontrager products, or maybe they actually think they're better than the rest. Race XXX Lite tyres are crap IMO. I don't race yet though, but I have had to replace at least 3 XXX Lite tyres long before the tread is worn.

Your tires will last longer is you skid less.
