I always felt the same way, something just wasn't quite right.

Ok. Being a fan also means that people still admire Landis despite the fact that he was dirty. I meant that to, sorry I wasn't clear.
And agreed, he got caught doing what the great majority of the peloton does.
I just found his hardheadedness in this whole ordeal unwarranted. By making such a fuss over his "innocence" he dragged the whole process out and that wasn't good for cycling. Nobody's seeing Vino with his hand out for defense funds, thank goodness. He's just doing his time -- quietly.

I may be inclined to believe Floyd...Vino, not so much...
Floyd fan, Tyler fan here...

Indeed.....Landis is guilty no matter if it he did it to himself or if one of his "people" did it to him thinking they were helping or a bunch of little green aliens slipped it into his ice tea. I have always felt that Landis believed that he was innocent.

My thoughts have never changed. I don't think I ever said that I believe the results were skewered but I am of the belief that the drugs MAY have been given to him without his knowledge. I don't think that would be a huge stretch with so many people surrounding him on a daily basis during the tour or all that much of a conspiracy.

We rode. 43 miles, starting temp about 20ºF, finishing temp 28ºF, wicked NW wind blowing a steady 20 mph. It was gnarly, but as all rides with unGodly wind-chill temps, not nearly so bad after the first 10 minutes and much more tolerable riding with a friend over to a fast competitive group ride. A ride of that description is considerably harsher when you're grinding into the friggin Maw of Winter alone @ 15mph for three hours.
Time to HTFU I guess.

Listen, today was cold, but it was Defcon 4. Defcon 5 is 15ºF with 25mph+ winds. THAT is my personal limit. I think the coldest temps I've ridden in were about 12ºF. Below that I totally bag it. Fortunately we only get a few days annually that don't get above that mid-day. In some parts of our listening area they get plenty of days like that. And some of these people ride in those conditions. I probably would too if I was confronted with them more frequently. Where there's a will there's a way.

You're in Huntington Beach V. The only place within 500 miles of you that it ever gets that cold is probably the Sierra Nevadas. Plus I presume at your house Brandy's under the covers, so who can blame you?
