Isn't it though?

It does come early, doesn't it? Calling those stupid freezing races in Manhattan in March the 'Spring Series' is like calling the friggin Steppes of Khazakstan 'Bermuda'.

kringle 12-16-08 12:14 PM

Maybe.

I've been riding in the rain and wind, hopefully I'm getting stronger.

umd 12-16-08 12:15 PM

Yes... getting faster :)

ericcox 12-16-08 12:16 PM

Only if today is opposite day.

And gstein -- are you trying to topple Pcad's position as official thread starter of BF?

I can't carry this stupid place forever.

damocles1 12-16-08 12:23 PM

Let's just say the chart is tracking in an upward direction...

Kazakhstan. (Sorry, I lived in Almaty for a year and I had to correct this.)

snoboard2 12-16-08 12:26 PM

oo oo pick me! can't wait to do some tests at the end of December to see what all this hard work has done.

I REALLY can't wait to roll up to a starting line come February.

ILUVUK 12-16-08 12:30 PM

I'm getting fatter more quickly than I'm getting faster.

datlas 12-16-08 12:32 PM

yes, commute makes you STRONG and FAST.

kensuf 12-16-08 12:33 PM

We'll see on January 17th..

The best way to achieve this is Dominos Interval Training.

Two slices, recover, two more slices, etc. Do that 20x and you have 2 x 20s.

Creakyknees 12-16-08 12:34 PM

I've dropped 5 lbs since October, while adding just a bit of muscle mass to my arms n shoulders.

This past Sunday in the crit I chased the break for about 5 laps, couldn't get across to them but the pack wasn't catching me either.

So I guess I'm doing ok.

Ditto. I found it happens when I stay consistent.

sfwhiteman 12-16-08 12:37 PM

I'm getting fast-ish, or at least my numbers are pretty good. But this'll be my first season racing. So until those first couple races, I won't really know

Flak 12-16-08 12:45 PM

Building the foundation for the monster engine that will replace my current one.

Greg180 12-16-08 12:49 PM

Nah...same tired engine. Adhering to last years race strategy, Show up, Keep up and Shut Up. No need to be faster unless the group gets faster.

I am approaching my peak fitness from the end of this past season just doing base and SST... next season should be interesing.

You go right on thinking that. If this place is stupid it's because of the inane threads YOU start as if it were some kind of mission...

I do my best Mitchy. And don't be so friggin testy. What's your friggin problem, you live in Wussyland where it's 70º all winter, it's flat as a pancake and everybody's sunburned and drunk.

SushiJoe 12-16-08 01:21 PM

Snowing now. Hating winter even more (as if that were even possible).
2-4" expected.
ICE on Thursday.
'F' winter in the "great" plains!!

skinnyone 12-16-08 01:24 PM

I am getting fat. Does that count?

Not in this thread. The thread you want is over there.
