So they may be yokozuna cables in Jagwire housing, or maybe the mechanic just hasn't worked on that bike in a while, since race season has been over for a while now...

"I'm not sold on the benefits of the supplied Gore cables that come with the RED group because that stuff didn't work that great back when it was the dope stuff for mountainbikes, and Yokozuna cables are the best quality shift cables around so I just use those instead, but I do run the Gore housing, that stuff seems pretty decent. I'm just not a fan of coated cables because all coatings come off and they will end up clogging up your housing."

You are 2 hours late, Val23708 already posted the link with that. That bike of a Bissel rider had Jagwire housings on it on Wednesday when I took that picture. Of course you can't tell what brand of cable is used by the picture :thumb: I could ask him next time I see him but I would be surprised if he knew the brand of his cables...

could be rider preference. who knows... but the mechanic does like yokozuna cables

i'd really like to try their reaction cable kit when my current cables feel inadiquate

I was really curious as to how you could tell the brand of the cables from that pictures, makes sense now.

Okay, there's yokozuna cables at competitive cyclist for $64.99 a set (cable and casing), and the same on sale at Tree Fort Bikes for $49.99.

No brainer.

Thanks for the tips.
