Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

i lold.

she did the right thing though... calling someone to pick you up just for what i'm assuming was a normal flat is ridiculous.

Been a busy week for me:

- 32 oz. bottle of Prolink chain lube
- two Sigma BC906 cyclometers ('cuz they're being disco'd & I love them)
- a new custom handmade Carl Strong steel road bike w/ S&S couplers (well, I ordered it; won't take delivery for ~14 weeks)
- a new custom handmade Carl Strong steel road bike w/ S&S couplers for my wife (see above re: delivery)

...and Wednesday I'll probably buy new cycling shoes (Specialized BG Pro) and maybe even a new rain bike for the missus.

I love that chain. They're not all that expensive, they look great, and they last forever. They also shift really, really well on SRAM stuff.

This (2011 Felt Z5), plus various accoutrement: speedplay X/2, northwave shoes, tubes, rear light, computer, etc. Going to be a very fun change from the steel rig touring tank I've been riding.
