I got one too but 2009/10 model. I'm going to use it for a budget build.

new s-works shoes
i'm slightly disappointed in the weight; specialized claims 450g for a size 42. i'm thinking their published weights don't include the footbed, shoulda figured. w/o footbed, these are 478g - so i really shouldn't complain, especially w/my team discount...
w/cleats and the footbeds i prefer, total weight will be 628g. my old shoes + footbed + cleats are 835g - not a bad improvement.

Throw the stick!!!!
After about ten years of good service my lightweight (temps 42 and above) Cannondale gloves finally died. I picked up some new Cannondale Slice gloves, hopefully I get several years of service out of these as well.

This weekend we came down to the coastal area at the start of the Great Ocean Road to see the ocean and enjoy the beach, to cycle in a part of the world we haven't cycled in recently, and to test-ride a tandem. And we are now the proud owners of a Santana Arriva!!
Rowan describes it in his last post in this thread in the tandem forum ...

I got a pair of giro cycling gloves today....first pair I've had with no padding in the palms. I didn't think I'd like it, but decided to give them a shot....and they're great. They actually felt really good on today's ride.
Also I got in 3 GP4000S's that I ordered from Ribble on 22 Dec. Actually, no: I ordered them on 22 Dec, they shipped on 23 Dec, by 24 Jan they hadn't arrived and I contacted Ribble, they shipped the order again on 31 Jan, BOTH orders arrived today...interesting. One of them will be going back on Monday (or whenever I make it to the post office).

I've had my Ionos for about a year and it's sweet! Light weight, comfortable and decent graphics (I have the one pictured above too). If you tend to take your shades off from time to time, the vents on the front are positioned perfectly for placing the extended arms of your sunglasses into. My Oakleys fit snug in this position even when riding. My first Ionos suffered in my worst crash, but I was amazed to see how the rear of the helmet caved in and took the brunt of the hit. The small point at the top and rear of the helmet crumpled up accordion style, but it saved my head. I bought another just like it immediately after my crash. It's a good purchase.
