Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The new Garmin speed and Cadence Sensors. Speed one is for when I ride the rollers.

My wife gave me an early Christmas present: Prescription Oakley Half Jackets, black frame, black polarized lenses.

I think the Half Jackets were all the rage in the pro peloton ten years ago.

Nice, she's a keeper.

I priced a set of Oakleys for my prescription about a month ago. I think I could have bought a new bike and it would have been cheaper.

Custom painted Oakley Flak jackets. Finally Got them in the mail today and threw the lenses in. My buddies turned out great. My radars on the other hand had a defect and needed to be sent back. Wasn't happy about it, but things happen and the painted said he would take care of it.

Lovely, not my cup of tea but definitely interesting and unique. One day I'll do something the likes but hopefully by then I'll be racing for a team.

The bike shop is basically running out of size S anything because I won't stop buying, and I wanted another kit today so I bought what I could find. I've actually been wanting both of these items but never fired for some reason.

Assos Equipe jersey, custom with the shop logo. Shorts are Assos Cento S7 - with the kuku penthouse. The Cento is the "comfort fit" which is basically fat guy fit, but they are the only ones I don't have and I wanted to try them.

Half of my last purchase is going back. Holy **** assos jerseys fit me poorly. That S size is huge it fits like a rapha L, not even kidding. I can pull the back of it down below my butt, the front of it bunches up and makes me look like I have a ton of fat rolls, and the neck is super loose. It's so bad I feel like it's mis-marked.

I'm 5'10" 135lb and is an Equipe jersey. Size S rapha pro team and S Cuore fit me perfectly. Anyone else have the same problem with assos?

Must be something off there, all my Assos stuff fits way tighter than the same size marked Rapha kit.

In December, I've bought a Pinarello Dogma 65.1 Think2 frameset, Super Record crankset, and a set of POWERTAP/HED wheels. Merry Christmas to me!

Pair of bibs for short rides so I can avoid washing my expensive shorts for a 90 minute spin. Assos neopro, hope they are decent.

Also got some random blue wool socks because I'm a sock *****.

Depending on the mode, the top part works either as blinky or steady. The light has seven modes - three daytime and four night modes. Here's the video that briefly explains how the different modes work.
