My bike suffered a major Owie! after the rear derailleur hanger snapped in half during a ride, trashing the derailleur and the chain. So Shimano 105 5800 rear derailleur, hanger, and SRAM 11 speed chain.

Zoic Ether baggy shorts--on sale at REI (for a couple more hours!) I first bought the tan pair, liked them a lot and couldn't resist going for the hot orange ones!

I have a Garmin 810 and a VIRB camera actually. This is so far the cleanest solution I have seen. I have a K-Edge mount but when I installed my new Look ADH bars I realized that I could not use them any more. A quick google search turned up these and coming from Bob I figured they have to be good, built from alloy and all that.

I bought a new helmet to replace the one I smashed in my crash at the beginning of May.

Finally picked up a Garmin Edge 510 bundle...was pleasantly surprised to find it came with the magnetless cadence and speed sensors instead of the GSC-10.
Keep calm, Cycle on

KASK helmet and new Bartape. Always replace helmet after accident. Bartape because I bent and fixed the handlebars after impact.

Wow!!! I don't know how Bob does it but this thing got here in 3 days! Here are some pics of it installed so you can see for yourself how it looks. It seems very solid and well built. Great job Bob!

Thank you for the pics @kansukee! That's a nice and clean setup. Certainly makes me consider buying the whole set!

I picked up a set of Forte Titans for my 2012 CAAD 8 7 last Friday, right before my Honor Ride on Saturday. Weighed them at Performance, 750g front, 1225 rear with SRAM PG-950 12-26 installed, so wheel weight is right at 1760g...all for under $170...have been rock solid so far and look great!

I'd replace the bars too and what in the world is "race fare"? Are they serving caviar at your races or something?

Returned the Tarmac and got Diverge Comp Carbon. Should make a better all around winter rain bike over the Tarmac. Plus I don't need another race bike.
